This is one of the fastest growing technologies in our industry and one of my favorite automated systems. A Lutron lighting system will allow a client to never come home to a dark house; with a click of a garage door opener from up to a several hundred yards away a client can have an entire sequence of lights come on as they drive into their home. Lutron gives the capability to set an endless array of lighting settings and capabilities.
A client does not have to go all over the house to turn off lights, they can simply go to any wall keypad or wireless remote and turn off all lights, which can cycle off at any rate they desire. There can be a vacation setting programmed that when a client is away, they can have the house appear as if someone is home at all times. Lights can come on or off inside or outside as a timed programmed setting so, for instance, landscape lighting can change at different times and cycle off by sunrise without the client ever having to press a button.
